Quick guides for every Power Up WP tool. Everything lives under the Power Up WP menu in your WordPress admin.
Install the plugin, then open Power Up WP → Settings and paste your license key (from your purchase or trial email) and your OpenAI API key. The dashboard checklist walks you through your first audit.
Scores every page on titles, meta, headings, word count, readability, and broken links, with AI improvement suggestions. Run one page at a time or a bulk audit with live progress. Enable the weekly digest to get a scorecard by email, and turn on alerts to hear about keyword drops and 404 spikes automatically.
Add your keywords (one per line), pick country/language/device, and positions update daily. Tick Also track Bing to record Bing positions alongside Google. Each keyword expands to show the full top-10 — including who outranks you. Export everything to CSV.
LLM Tracking asks ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini your customers' questions weekly and records whether your brand is mentioned. LLM Visibility serves an llms.txt content map and lets you block specific AI crawlers in robots.txt.
Generate whitelist link suggestions in bulk (they arrive as pending for your review), then let the AI insert relevant internal links per page. Topic Clusters groups your content into pillar + supporting clusters with AI, then links each cluster in one click — or queues the anchors for review first. Use Orphan Pages to find pages nothing links to, and the Visual Link Map to see your site's link structure at a glance.
Generate outlines, FAQs, CTAs, and meta titles/descriptions (applied directly to Yoast, Rank Math, or AIOSEO). The Blog Writer goes further: topic → outline → complete 1,200+ word draft with SEO meta pre-filled, saved as a draft for your review.
Connect Google Search Console to see real clicks, impressions, and positions — plus a Content Decay report showing which pages are losing traffic and need a refresh.
One-click toggles to strip WordPress bloat, plus a database cleaner (back up first!). Core Web Vitals runs Google Lighthouse per page for mobile performance scores.
Every 404 is logged with a hit counter; fix any of them with a one-click 301 redirect to the right page.
Send a branded monthly HTML report — average score, ranking movement, AI mentions, Google clicks, and site health — to yourself or your clients.
Open Power Up WP → Tracking → Keyword Lab, enter a seed keyword, and get up to 50 related keywords with monthly search volume, a 0–100 difficulty score (Easy under 30, Hard over 60), and CPC. Click Track on any row to add it to daily rank tracking. Fresh lookups are capped at 20 per day per site; repeat lookups of the same seed are served from cache and don't count.
Open Power Up WP → AI Content → Content Optimizer, pick a post and its target keyword, and click Analyze & Score. The tool reads the current top-10, extracts the terms and questions they cover (using your OpenAI key), and scores your post 0–100 with a breakdown: term coverage, keyword placement, length, internal links, and meta. Work the missing-terms list into the content and re-score — analyses are cached for 7 days, and re-scoring is instant and free. Your latest score also shows in the post editor sidebar.
Open Power Up WP → Tracking → Backlink Profile and click Analyze Backlink Profile. You get Domain Power (our DA/DR analog), Trust Score (our Trust Flow analog), total backlinks, referring domains and IPs, dofollow ratio, top referring domains, strongest individual links, and your anchor-text distribution. Data refreshes at most once a day. Leave the New & Lost Link Alerts toggle on to receive a weekly email digest of referring domains gained and lost.
Open Power Up WP → Audit & Fix → Site Crawl Health and run a crawl (it also re-runs weekly on its own). Checks cover duplicate titles and meta descriptions, missing descriptions, thin content, broken internal links, redirect chains, multiple H1 tags, and images missing alt text — rolled into a 0–100 health score. Everything runs inside WordPress; no crawl credits or external services.
Open Power Up WP → Audit & Fix → Author E-E-A-T to see each author's profile completeness, then fill in job title, credentials, expertise topics, and profile links (LinkedIn, X, personal site) on their user profile. The plugin outputs Person schema on every post and ProfilePage schema on author archives automatically. Video and News sitemaps live on the Site Crawl Health page: enable them and they serve at /video-sitemap.xml and /news-sitemap.xml.
With no other SEO plugin active, Power Up WP outputs everything itself: templated titles, meta descriptions, canonicals, robots rules, Open Graph/Twitter tags, and a full XML sitemap at /sitemap.xml. Configure it under Audit & Fix → Search Appearance. Running Yoast or Rank Math? Power Up WP writes into their fields and stays out of your <head> — and the same page offers a one-click migration (titles, descriptions, focus keywords, noindex flags, canonicals, redirects) so you can switch whenever you're ready.
Set a focus keyword in the Power Up WP box in the post editor. It's automatically added to daily rank tracking, the Content Optimizer scores the post against it with one click, and SERP Intelligence watches it for cannibalization. The same box has per-post noindex and canonical URL controls.
Three reports mined from your daily rank checks at zero extra cost (Tracking → SERP Intelligence): Competitor Share of Voice — position-weighted visibility for every domain in your keywords' top-10s, including which keywords they beat you on; Keyword Cannibalization — keywords where more than one of your pages ranked in the last 14 days; and SERP Features — which of your keywords carry featured snippets, AI Overviews, People Also Ask, local packs, and more.
Add each business location under Audit & Fix → Local SEO — name, business type, address, phone, opening hours, coordinates, price range, and service area — and assign it a page. Complete LocalBusiness schema goes live on that page. Multi-location is included on every plan.
With WooCommerce active, Power Up WP adds Brand, GTIN, and MPN fields to Product data → Inventory and merges them into WooCommerce's own product structured data (no duplicate schema). Product categories get an SEO meta description field, and Site Crawl Health flags products missing identifiers.
With Search Console connected, Tracking → Quick Wins lists the queries where you rank on page 1–2 but earn fewer clicks than that position should deliver — sorted by clicks you'd recover at a normal click-through rate. Usually a title problem, not a content problem; each row has an AI title suggestion one click away.
Enter a seed topic under AI Content → Content Planner. It pulls keyword research (volume + difficulty), then designs a pillar-and-cluster plan — one broad pillar plus 4–8 supporting articles, each with a title, target keyword, and angle. One click creates any of them as a draft with the focus keyword already set; hand drafts to the AI Blog Writer or write them yourself, then interlink with the Topic Cluster Builder.
Every outbound link in your published content is verified automatically in weekly batches. Genuinely dead links (404/410, server errors, unreachable hosts) appear in the Site Crawl Health report — bot-blocked responses like 403 are not flagged as broken. The 404s & Redirects screen also now preselects the closest matching page (★) in each Quick Fix dropdown.
